Operator Course (Level I) -- August 16th to the 24th
As per a NHQ directive, billets cannot be held for anyone. This is a "first come, first serve" status for all trainings, including Ropes Rescue. Anyone applying to our trainings, please note the following: ALL PAPERWORK, including Pat's waivers, must be LEGIBLE! I have had officers, parents, and even cadets send me "chicken scratch" orders, medical information, and waivers, or "photos" of said paperwork that was literally the size of a thumbprint. Anything that is uploaded or personally emailed to me that illegible will automatically be denied these trainings. I do not have time to try and continually communicate with you about re-sending documents. This is for everyone's SAFETY!
You Must Earn Your Certification – This training is unique in the Sea Cadet realm. Upon successful completion of the course, a passing grade on the final test and successful evaluation in the field by MRSC instructors, students of this course will attain certification in Rope Rescue Operations. This course is taught to fire, EMS, rescue, and military units around the world, and the certification is not given away – it must be earned. If you do not meet the criteria for certification, then you will not be certified and will go home with only your Sea Cadet advanced training completion certificate. Mrs. Pat Wagner and her instructors at MRSC have a stellar reputation in this field, and they will not tarnish it by giving certification to someone who did not earn it. This being said, please take this training seriously.
