Welcome!   It has always been my vision to see young adults learn all they can about leadership and positive discipline.

The Naval Sea Cadets has a long, distinguished history and has allowed thousands of American youth to experience Navy life, while still at a young age.

The orange Prusik is used in the S.E.T.R.O.P.E.S.  training as a life saving device. It is required to be worn on the uniform at all times except when sleeping or showering. It is a rescuer's life saving device.  All cadets will receive one upon entering this training and will take it home with them.

This is from Wikipedia which explains what it is.   Climbers carry Prusik cords mainly for emergency use, as they are lighter than other options. Prusiks are fast to place on a rope, and with practice can be placed with one hand. The loops of cord can be used as slings, and are thus multi-functional in a climbing environment.
